ECF HELP DESK SUPPORT:  The Rhode Island Bankruptcy Court has a dedicated E-mail Box and Live Computer Chat and Telephone support (during business hours) for providing electronic case filing help desk assistance.

BANKRUPTCY LIVE SUPPORT ON-LINE:  During regular businss hours, you can participate in "live" chats with Clerk's office staff and choose among three departments:    (1) Case Support; (2) Technical Support; or (3) Court/Calendar Support.

 

SYSTEM FAILURE:  If electronic filing cannot be accomplished because of a court or filer System failure, the Electronic Filer shall, after making at least two attempts to file electronically, send the document and/or event as an attachment in PDF format via e-mail to the following address:  RIBECFSupport@rib.uscourts.gov    See  RI LBR 5005-4(p):

(p) System Failure. If electronic filing cannot be accomplished because of a court or filer System failure, the Electronic Filer shall, after making at least two attempts to file electronically, send the document and/or event as an attachment in PDF format via e-mail to the following address: RIBECFSupport@rib.uscourts.gov explaining why it was not possible to file directly in the CM/ECF System. The Electronic Filer must call the Clerk’s office prior to 10:00 a.m. of the next business day to advise that a document has been filed via e-mail. The Clerk’s office will download and file the PDF document, which will be deemed filed on the date and time of the e-mail transmittal.
