The United States Trustee for Region 1, William K. Harrington, has today notified the Bankruptcy Court of the selection and upcoming appointment of Charles A. Pisaturo, Jr. to serve as standing trustee in cases filed under chapter 13 for the District of Rhode Island.  The appointment shall be effective January 1, 2023.  

As members of the Rhode Island Bankruptcy Bar know, since the spring of 1998, Mr. Pisaturo has served on the District of Rhode Island's panel of trustees under Chapter 7, has  represented both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy cases in this district over the past thirty years, and has also been a member of the Bankruptcy Court's Attorney Advisory Committee as well as a volunteer attorney on its free Bankruptcy Legal Clinic,since its inception.  We look forward to working with Mr. Pisaturo in his new standing trustee capacity in 2023.

Finally, we wish to give our heartfelt retirement congratulations to Mr. John Boyajian, Esq., who has served the district with distinction as Chapter 13 Standing Trustee since October of 1979.   Mr. Boyajian's designation will conclude on December 31, 2022.
