Access to Court Documents During COVID-19 Clerk's Office Public Area Closure

Notice to Public Access Terminal Users:

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic and temporary closing of the Clerk's office, public access to court records that would otherwise be available for viewing and copying from our public area may instead be accessed as follows:   

 

1.  By Telephone Request -- If you need assistance with accessing court documents and are not able, or cannot afford, to use PACER.gov, please call (401) 626-3100, ext. 0 for assistance, or

2.  By Email Request -- If you need assistance with accessing court documents and are not able, or cannot afford, to use PACER.gov, please email the Clerk's office with your request at rib_helpdesk@rib.uscourts.gov.

3.   From PACER -- Consider obtaining a Pacer account to access documents directly on your own.  As of Jan. 1, 2020, if a PACER use quarterly usage is $30 or less, the bill is waived.  For electronic access to any case document, docket sheet, or case-specific report via PACER: $0.10 per page, not to exceed the fee for thirty pages.  Click here to view the Electronic Public Access Fee Schedule.
