Notice of Proposed Amendments to Local Rules and Forms

Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2071(b), the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Rhode Island invites public comment on the proposed amendments to its local rules and local forms, several of which are being amended to incorporate changes in the federal bankruptcy rules and forms scheduled to take effect on December 1, 2017. A copy of the proposed amendments are available here as well as on our Local Rule page. Comments on the proposed local rule and form changes should be received by October 20, 2017. Comments can be made by email to Susan_Thurston@rib.uscourts.gov or in writing addressed to:

Absent any further change, the proposed rule and form changes will take effect on December 1, 2017.
